Carroll County Boys Golf Update: NCKC Tourney – Sept. 9 The Carroll County Panthers boys golf team delivered a strong performance at the North Central Kentucky Conference (NCKC) Tournament on September 9, shooting a combined team score of 316 and earning a second-place finish overall. The highlight of the day came from Dustin Battaglia, who shot an impressive 67 to claim Medalist honors and repeat as the NCKC Individual Champion for the second straight year. Battaglia’s back-to-back titles cement his status as one of the top players in the region. Carroll County had three players named to the All-Tournament Team: Dustin Battaglia – 67 (Medalist & Individual Champion) Luke Taylor – 78 Dalten Wilson – 78 Additional contributions came from Rennin Sanders (93) and Bryce Furnish (99), helping secure the team’s runner-up finish. Match Recap – Sept. 15 at Henry County Country Club The Panthers were back in action on September 15 at Henry County Country Club, where they fell to Henry County by a score of 167-148. The match also marked Senior Night for Henry County, and a couple of Carroll players only played eight holes as part of the event’s format. Carroll County Scores: Dustin Battaglia – 37 Luke Taylor – 43 Dalten Wilson – 43 Bryce Furnish – 44 Lincoln Miller – 51 Rennin Sanders – 41 (8 holes) Rylan Kinman – 50 (8 holes) Despite the loss, the Panthers showed balanced scoring across the lineup and continue to gain valuable experience as they prepare for postseason play.
